The day started with a workshop on "Keeping a House Cow". We looked at the jerseys and their needs and wants and how to care for them. We looked at milking and storage of the milk and we looked at feeding and suplements too. We even had a go at collecting that most precious of outputs from a cow with tips on how best to get those stuborn cow pats that do not want to get on to the shovel.

This led to the afternoon session on cheese making - which I have written about on the Purple Pear project page.
