Floyd is a Permaculture teacher, consultant and Natural Area Manager. Curently working as Permaculturalist in Residence at Soneva Kiri Resort in Koh Kood - Thailands rainiest Island!
For many years he has worked and studied in the field of Conservation and Land Management, Natural Area Restoration and Horticulture. He has worked in many different settings, from close-to-pristine forests, to old dumping grounds - in all cases, observing and working with natural patterns of maintenance and regeneration.
He has worked and lived for several years in North East Arnhem Land, developing and managing many different projects driven by Traditional Owner groups - including wild croc egg harvesting...
This has flowed organically into his love of Permaculture. He received his Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) from Bill Mollison and Geoff Lawton and has completed a Permaculture Internship at Milkwood Permaculture.
Floyd is the founder of Permaculture Darwin, is a member of Lakeside Drive Community Gardens and has worked extensivly with local organisations to implement Permaculture systems in remote Indigenous communities.
