Something you can do with your family around you, something that supports the wider goal of being part of a regenerative future for all.
With all the change in the world and our communities right now enormous possibilities are opening up for a new way to come through, a path that supports ad encourage strong communities, healthy people and a healthy ecology around us.
If this is you then the Koanga Growing Soil Food and Health Internship is your next step!
1. You will learn to grow food in an efficient highly productive way that regenerates the soil in the process
2. You will learn how to draw up detailed plans for your garden for year round, seamless food production (could be your families food, could be a commercial enterprise, could be for seed production etc etc.
3. You will learn how to grow nutrient dense food
4. You will learn how to use the above information to draw up production goals and costs so that you can then draw up a budget and cash flow if this is a commercial enterprise.
5. You will learn how to use the food we grow, in the kitchen to produce a nutrient dense diet fully capable of nourishing your body and you will eat that food whilst here
6. You will learn and experience the basics of the Weston Price diet and also learn about the GAPS healing diet, including the art of fermentation, of soaking and sorting and fermenting grains, and bone broths.
7. As well as all the above basics, you will have the opportunity to add extra skills and experiences to this 10 weeks from many other options being offered

Note: The various badges displayed in people profiles are largely honesty-based self-proclamations by the individuals themselves. There are reporting functions users can use if they know of blatant misrepresentation (for both people and projects). Legitimacy, competency and reputation for all people and projects can be evidenced and/or developed through their providing regular updates on permaculture work they’re involved in, before/after photographs, etc. A spirit of objective nurturing of both people and projects through knowledge/encouragement/inspiration/resource sharing is the aim of the Worldwide Permaculture Network.

|
PRI TeacherWith the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable. PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows. |
