December of 2010 saw the totally secret passage in the Senate of the onerous "Food Saftey Act."  This horrible piece of legislation gives "surveilance and detention" authority to the FDA and seeks to remove fundamental rights of food choice from the People.  Naturally, this law is focussed on comercial production of food - food intended for sale.  The only way to combat this development is for Communities to create CSAs to provide food security.  The CSA may charge fees and dues for "membership" and deliver food to its members as "gifts."  Gratis Food is not restricted under the law because the entire operation is private and not for the purpose of sale to the public. 

The Nemenhah Model Permavillage is working to develop strategies to implement this kind of CSA, and we are gaining steam rapidly.  It is becoming increasingly obvious that the FED has prior knowledge of some coming crisis in food, against which they are preparing with this sort of restrictive legislation and control.  We see this new direction in CSA organization as the only way that WE THE PEOPLE will be able to insure food security against the coming crisis, whatever that might be.
