Graphic designer by day. Have been studying Permaculture heavily since 2007. Practicing Emilia Hazelip style "Synergistic Gardening" for garden veggies and am working on establishing a 3-acre forest garden in Southwest Michigan, on a flat, open site with dry, sandy soil. Have 200+ mostly-edible trees and shrubs planted and sheet mulched (many with some perennial herbs/vegetables) so far, should finish planting the overstory in 2013 and then be able to concentrate more on shrubs and the other layers. Also working on reclaiming my 1/5 acre city lot from lawn and Norway Maples.
