Born and raised in Fort Wayne, IN. Live in South Bend, IN with my wife of 7 years, Jessica. I have been a student of permaculture for nearly two years, and formally took my PDC course in August of 2010. In addition to the permaculture work that I do, I am employed 3-4 nights a week as a server at an Irish Pub within walking distance of our home. We also own two vacant lots 6 blocks from our home where we are focused on plant propagation and designing a model forest garden. We have the good fortune to live within walking distance of a former graduate of a Midwest Permaculture PDC, John Horton. He is a great friend and encouragement, as well as partner in crime. Jessica is an artist, and works with friends to run an underground venue and restaurant out of our home. Everyday moves us closer to our dreams and a right livelihood in line with permaculture principles.
Great 20 minute TEDx talk on a permaculture farm
Moving toward a "Right Livelihood" for me has been a transition of sorts. It began with waking up to the destruction caused by our current system, then realizing how utterly dependent I am on this system to meet my everyday needs.
