About Øyvind Holmstad

My life's project is to help the best I can to spread and materialize the new architectural theories developed by Christopher Alexander. Further I want to implement the principles of the German term "Baubiologie," and material ecology is one of my great interests. Third I want to make permaculture and permanent agriculture a natural part of all built environments.

Further I'm a great supporter of the commons!

I should enjoy getting in contact with other people from my region sharing my interests.

My hope for the future is that my newly born daughter can live in a permacultural world!

Ornament and Function are Part of One Greater Whole

The separation of ornament from function is a cosmological matter because it fits, and supports, and stems from, the mechanistic view.

Alice of Monsterland

Metropolis Magazine don't let me defend myself against Alice, but I guess most readers anyway will look through her as a hysterical modernist being stepped on her toes only. Here's my defense.
