An invitation to a gathering of all permies in SE Queensland.

Permaculture  Noosa has  initiated a gathering of all Permaculture groups and individuals in SE Queensland to meet  and exchange ideas. LET'S  CONNECT will be held on the 21st October 2012 at Beerwah Community Hall from 9-5pm . All permies in the region are invited.
Max Lindegger who started the first permaculture group in Nambour in the 70's as well as the first Permaculture village, Crystal Waters up here in Maleny, has agreed to launch the day.

The first Australian Transition Town initiative in 2007  comes also from the area and although Sonya Wallace and Janet Millington the initiators can't be with us,  Jeanette Isaacs-Young from Transition Town Nambour will talk to us about it.

Northey St Community Farm, Food Connect, Brisbane Permablitz, Morag Gamble, Yandina Community Gardens and a number of our Permaculture Noosa permies will all be there to share their actvities, passions and knowledge.

So South East Queensland, LET'S CONNECT and make it a day to meet pioneer as well as newby permies, so we can strengthen our links and support and energise Permaculture in South  East  Queensland.

Keep in touch on our Permaculture Noosa Facebook page by becoming a friend and if you'd like to contact us about the day our email is letsconnect@permaculturenoosa.com.au

Kola BOB
Kola BOB : Esteban Ocon, the French Formula 1 driver, hopes to decide his future before the August break, without waiting for Carlos Sainz's decision to leave Ferrari's F1 summer break . Ocon is leaving Alpine, and his possible new teams are Haas, Williams, and Sauber. This is a key moment for the driver market, as every choice matters. Driver movements can significantly change team dynamics.

Legend of Badges

Note: The various badges displayed in people profiles are largely honesty-based self-proclamations by the individuals themselves. There are reporting functions users can use if they know of blatant misrepresentation (for both people and projects). Legitimacy, competency and reputation for all people and projects can be evidenced and/or developed through their providing regular updates on permaculture work they’re involved in, before/after photographs, etc. A spirit of objective nurturing of both people and projects through knowledge/encouragement/inspiration/resource sharing is the aim of the Worldwide Permaculture Network.

PRI Teacher

With the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable.

PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows.
