I returned to the Philippines from Grand Cayman Island, on February 2021. My professional career since the very beginning is related to HVAC/R, MEP and I am also a Certified Pool Operator by the National Swimming Pool Foundation NSPF.
My technical career started on 1997 as an applied field service technician of McQuay International (now Daikin-Mcquay), Carrier Airconditioning as applied field service engineer, York International (now JCI-York) as applied field service supervisor.
In 2007, my family and i moved to the Cayman Islands to work with Dart Real Estate, developer of Camanabay then Andro MEP.
I have spent over 6 years in the field dealing with hvac/rac service and building management and have traveled many countries as a Pro. Not long ago, sometime in early 2012, while following Joel Salatin's farming techniques, i watched a section of his interview with Nick Ritar of Milkwood Permaculture. That Youtube video linked me to Milkwood's Permaculture website and my interest grew from there and i ended up enrolling to Mr. Geoff Lawton's PDC. Mr. Geoff lecture was very powerful and he reoriented my head to think deeper into Permacultue.
After my PDC with PRI, i took some advance learning materials from David Holmgren to discover further the theories and principles and I believed i discovered the most brilliant concept that i can use for the rest of my life.
On 2013 after almost seven years in the Caymans i decided to return to the Philippines because of Permaculture to survey our property and kickstarted my first Permaculture project . My view of the world and life style changed after that course. It was truly a life changing experience.
After almost two years of Permaculture research in the Philippines, i returned to the Cayman Islands again and handed over the establishment of our village to my new partners. I am also active in establishing our nursery, seed bank and Citrusgrove Cottage.
Citrus Grove Cottage is now a fully established Off-Grid Permaculture homestead prototype in northern Philippines. If have similar passion please don't hessitate to visit us.
