About Erik Klockemann

Permaculture Designer and Consultant

I have been a Permaculture Designer since 2009. Prior to completing my PDC (Permaculture Design Certification Course), I was a successful home gardener using the Grow Bio-Intensive Method. I was trained in Bio-Intensive gardening in 2006 and have had the pleasure of studying under Jon Jeavons directly. In addition to Permaculture Design and Grow Bio-Intensive I am also trained in Holistic Management, Keyline Design and Trust Nature's, Bio-Vital management techniques.

My passion for Regenerative Food Growing Systems and lower impact living solutions has brought me here to Australia to study at the Permaculture Research Institute with world-renowned Permaculture teacher and mentor Geoff Lawton.

I want to be the change I want to see in the world, so I moved along with my wife and two young boys here to Australia with the intention to gain as much experience, knowledge and credibility in Permaculture Design as I can under Geoff Lawton.

My approach to design is to fully engage the client’s specific needs, desired outcomes and location possibilities into an informative/educational experience. My goal is to give you the confidence to apply Permaculture techniques to your system. I want to work with you to help in achieving a vision and roadmap to a successful and abundant life system.

What you can expect on a consultancy?
When you contact me about a consultancy I will ask you a set of prerequisite questions. I will then spend about 2 hours researching your specific location prior to the consultancy. This research will include location, climate, history, rainfall, solar aspect, ect.

Points we will touch on and have the opportunity to go into detail would be:
Ecological Design & Planning
Damaged Landscape Regeneration Design
Landscape Architecture
Land Use Design and Planning
Residential, Rural and Agricultural Masterplanning
Water Harvesting and Storage Planning
Waste Water Treatment and Planning
Waste Into a Resource Planning
Small & Large/Industrial Scale Compost Design
Soil Biology Restoration and Fertility Planning
Erosion Mitigation Planning
Food Forest Design

Other Services
In addition to Consultancy and Design services I am also available for 72 hour PDC Training Seminars, Introduction to Permaculture 3 day classes, Aid Project Consulting, Land Management Services, Soil biology training through the Bio-Vital technique which includes Compost Inoculum, Soil Probiotic (Specialized Compost Tea Brewing) and Bio-Fertilizer training and setup. Save money and build sustainable fertility by moving away from high input chemical or organic fertilizers.
