An intensive twelve day course covering the curriculum recognised by the International Permaculture Research Institute, plus much more including:
-an introduction into Holistic management (Allan Savory)
-the latest on nutrition (Weston A. Price Foundation and epigenetics)
-the Pattern Language work of Christopher Alexander
-the entrepreneurial approach of Joel Salatin and others
-the latest in the world-wide movement of developing cooperatives and reclaiming our commons
You will receive a solid practical foundation in the permaculture design process including:
-the confidence to start designing straight away
-a strong framework to continue improving your knowledge and skill base
-the understanding that permaculture has lots of opportunity for creating livelihoods
-a life changing personal experience
-a strong experience of living within an existing permaculture community
-Networks into new opportunities both in NZ and overseas
Time will be spent on theory, practicing design work and a wide range of practical activities, highlighting key strategies (Bio-intensive gardening, waste recycling, appropriate technology, food processing and preservation, small animal management).
