Intercropping Tapioca & Mung Bean

Intercropping Tapioca & Mung Bean

We are planning to do intercropping of Tapioca with Mung (moong) beans.

Tapioca & Mung Beans grows well in this area. But, intercropping is tried for the first time in the local now. Tapiocal is a 1 year crop, the beans are just qtr year. I hope this will workout ;)

Mark Domingo : Just started researching crop pairings myself like the 3 SISTERS (Corn,Squash,Beans). I planted some Mung beans as a cover crop 6 months ago but they all died. Found out long beans are better. Don't even have to water. http://suprememastertv.com/pe/?wr_id=79

Sarvesvara Dasa : Thanks for the responses - direct and comments here.

What we have learnt after a season of inter-cropping is... Tapioca, being a root plant - it's root capacity to grow the tapioca is affected when we inter-crop and do more walking around. The soil gets compacted, and the root doesn't grow - and our result was successfully failed.

So, we are dropping ideas of inter-cropping Tapioca with other plants.
