I have always been a gardener at heart. I prefer dirt in any weather over the telly and a beer. I have a need to support my community in a sustainable fashion, although it wasn't call that a couple decades ago.

I purchased my first piece of land in the winter of 2010. It has challenges that are beyond my financial resources. So I hit the internet in search of options and discovered how far permaculture has come since I first came across it a few decades ago. I was struck by how many of them would be useful without draining financial resources.

My intention are to utilize these methods, theories and practices to enhance the property, learn all that I can and then pass on what I've learned to my neighbors and family. When the time is right I'll take the courses, until then I read variously all the material I can find on the subject.
