Rosemary has a background in environmental education and project management. She is in demand for planning, implementation, management and evaluation of community programs. With experience in facilitation, workshop delivery and presentations to diverse audiences, Rosemary is recognised as being focussed on real change for the participants and positive outcomes for the environment.
Rosemary became interested in Permaculture in the early 2000s, seeing it as a logical, practical way of natural living. She completed an Introduction to Permaculture course in 2006, and a PDC in 2009.
She is an active member of Permaculture Sydney North, where she was the Ryde/Hunters Hill Local Group Coordinator 2008 - 2010. She now volunteers on the Education Team. Rosemary has a particular interest in community empowerment and change. As Director of The Permaculture Mob she offers practical workshops and courses which provide information and skills for self-reliant living. Participants are empowered to 'give it a go'. The courses are conducted at a 10 hectare property near Mudgee NSW.
In 2010 the NSW Chapter of the Australian Association for Environmental Education awarded Rosemary 'Environmental Educator of the Year' .
