The first of two permaculture introduction classes was held last Friday.
We had 8 people attend the two hour talk on the need for permaculture; the basic ethics and principles; emphasising the tradition and culture here, in Japan, and to learn from these; along with examples of permaculture in practice around the world.
Our admission was by organic naturally farmed produce. A number of the people attending are farming in their spare time around their jobs and everyone gave generously. I’d like to thank them all for attending and their generous contributions.
There was a lot of material to cover in just two hours but hopefully we have inspired everyone to return in the new year for 11 further two hour sessions focussing on different aspects of permaculture. And from these will come how we will take this into action.
The next introduction lecture will be this coming weekend.
