I've been crafting software since the mid 90's and hadn't given agriculture systems much consideration beyond the produce section at my local supermarket, until being recently awakened to the failures of modern agriculture and many other systems around us which are simply not sustainable.
In almost a panic to learn more about sustainable systems, I discovered permaculture and other traditional (sometimes ancient) solutions to the our modern problems and have been increasingly amazed at the permaculture solutions and equally excited to share this knowledge with others in hopes to curb a coming crisis.
Quite simply, I do believe we are on the verge of a global food and energy crisis and feel that permaculture principles are a timely solution to help us be better stewards of the earth and our future generations.
