I studied Telecommunications Engineering, started my professional career in a consultancy firm as an IT consultant first and then as business consultant for 5 years. Then I moved to a bank as project manager and have worked in several areas: Technology, Risks and Treasury for another 5 years.
Before becoming interested in permaculture I became interested in organic agriculture because I believe that food production has to be sustainable with the environment and because I want to consume healthier products. Thanks to a tweet to one of Geoff Lawton's videos in permaculture I have discovered a greater scope of interacting sustainably with the environment and all the benefits that permaculture can provide to society. I have always loved the idea of greening the desert but I thought it was just a dream. Now that I see it is possible I would like to participate in greening my environment.
I left my job by the end of 2013 in order to start up a business of my own and I will do my best to create something that allows me to live from it and that is related to permaculture. I intend to practice in a small property I have (3.000 m2) which has a quite arid climate (aprox. 400 mm of rain per year) located in Madrid.
