I was born in Colorado to a family of metal recyclers and wilderness seekers. That eccentric combination
instilled a deep curiosity of the natural world as well as the experience of making the world cleaner and more cyclical through a vocation.
My personal evolution brought me to the creative arts and extensive travel in Central and South America. It was on these trips that I was introduced to the concepts and practices of Permaculture. After a bit more travel and educational skylarking I rediscovered permaculture on the Western Slope of Colorado.
These days I direct a non-profit organization called the Southwest Institute for Resilience. We steward our local farmer's market, umbrella a number of community gardens, develop growing capacity for local schools, and continue the sustainable development of a local organic farm.
I have been a co-instructor for a regional PDC for three years and find teaching to be a young, yet maturing skill and passion.
Myself and core group of collaborators offer design services for municipal and governmental projects that align with the permaculture directives.
