I grew up in Los Angeles as a Surfer. That close connection to the water contributed to a strong connection with the land. I left LA in search of a place where I could both surf and live off the land. Thru my travels, I learned how to grow food and be a leader.

Having gone to the New College of CA, my training in Permaculture and activism began, but it wasn't until a PDC course in Vermont that I actually became certified. This new learning experience opened a whole new world for me, leading me back to Los Angeles.

I founded Old Chimney Farm in Malibu, an 8 acre Mediterranean Food Forest, with over 300 varieties of trees, hundreds more edible shrubs and vegetables, ponds, water tanks, greenhouses, chickens, goats, bees, this farm is a permaculture paradise.

I also founded a group called the Westside Permies. This group brought permies together from all over LA to build community and to take positive action. Action took place in the form of Cob Bench building, annual Gardens of Gratitude event, speakers and more.

Just finished planning the 2011 So Cal Permaculture Convergence that took place in Malibu. It went successfully with over 250 wonderful people in attendance.

Moved to the Big Island for a couple years to raise our baby, but now we're back in CA, living in an intentional community at Green Valley Village and working at the Permaculture Skills Center in Sebastopol.

Got a job as Farm Production Manager at the Green Valley CSA in Sebastopol
