Hi! My name is Kelly. I am currently living in North Alabama. I was born and raised in the South East. I just got married last year and my partner and I are excited about creating our permaculture homestead!
I jumped on the permaculture bandwagon in 2006 in North Carolina in a class with Patricia Allison. After the PDC course I apprenticed with Patricia for about a year. My time in North Carolina was a very eye-opening and enriching experience for me.
My partner and I purchased 10 acres in middle Tennessee about six months ago. So far we have mostly been working on mapping the property and developing a plan for our homestead, but we are slowly starting to get into some more concrete projects. We planted 34 fruit and nut trees this winter - the start of our really fabulous food forest. And we will hopefully be breaking ground on our house next month.
