I studied permaculture (Jeremiah Kidd of San Isidro Permaculture, NM, USA) and sacramental ganja (Sattayah Chang, The Grow Shop, Kingston JA) at Source Farm in St. Thomas JA.

This direct immersion in permaculture follows many years in private rural, and cooperative urban food gardening. I have organized urban garden development for vulnerable women, girls and refugee groups (Toronto), practiced landscaping in rural and urban settings, and always apply a "solidarity conscious" ethos in the community empowerment work I do.

The bulk of my experience falls in the "invisible sector" of permaculture (legal, social, political, cultural), the element I find most permaculture enthusiasts talk about the least. I know the invisible sector can be the biggest part of permaculture design and living. The key is making it for better, not for worse, so that all your relationships in the garden and field can be protected and nurtured with love.
