Marlo Blythe is a visionary ecologist and the founder of Forest Fruits Permaculture, a landscape design and consulting firm dedicated to transforming eco resorts, eco-villages, and private lands into thriving, regenerative ecosystems. With over 15 years of hands-on experience in permaculture, sustainable landscaping, and ecological restoration, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep-rooted passion for creating naturally abundant, resilient landscapes. Her mission is to empower people to contribute to a very beautiful, naturally abundant world.
She has spent over a decade immersing herself in boots-on-the-ground work, from working with five different sustainable landscape crews to designing, implementing, and maintaining permaculture landscapes across the United States.
Her expertise includes everything from food forests to rainwater harvesting, and she has contributed her skills in urban and rural settings alike, spanning Houston, Austin, Baltimore, Seattle, Oregon, and Florida. Her academic foundation is just as strong as her field experience. Marlo earned her Permaculture Design Certification (PDC) from the Regenerative Leadership Institute in 2013 and later pursued an Individualized Bachelor of Arts in Sacred Ecology at Goddard College, where she tailored her studies to merge permaculture, ethnobotany, and regenerative land management. She further honed her skills by apprenticing at renowned permaculture hubs such as Aprovecho Sustainability Education Center (now the Center for Rural Livelihoods), Ampersand Sustainable Education Center in New Mexico, and Passion Vine Farm in Florida.
Beyond design, Marlo is a passionate educator and consultant, helping landowners see the immense potential in large-scale ecological restoration and regenerative design. With consultations, partnerships, and collaborative projects, she translates complex ecological principles into tangible, beautiful solutions that enhance biodiversity and long-term land productivity.
With her deep well of knowledge and an unwavering commitment to creating a new paradigm, Marlo is ready to help you build a legacy of fertility, abundance, and resilience. Whether you are an individual homeowner, an eco-resort developer, or a community builder, she brings the vision and expertise to turn your land into a thriving, self-sustaining ecosystem.
