I was born in Valencia, an small town in Los Rios Province in Ecuador
I spent a lot of time at my parents farm until I was 17.
At 19, I started studying music and when I was 24, me and 8 more people started a natural reserve that lasted for 5 years, we worked together with 11 communities all along the Calope River in Cotopaxi Province, this was my first aproach to Permaculture and its principles.
Then, I lived in Argentina between 2009 and 2013, there, I gained more experience in intentional communities and learnt a lot about organic gardening at INTA.
In 2013, I made my first PDC, it was focused in water and soil harvesting, with two pioneers in Permaculture, Holger Hieronimi from tierramor.org and Pablo Perret from El Jardin de los Presentes in Cordova, Argentina.
In the same year, back in Ecuador I created a new PDC, this time with Tierra Martinez, and from here, Permaculture ethics and design principles are my way of breathing, doing small projects in the Amazonian jungle, at dry coastal areas and also a couple of spots in the Andes just for having fun and gaining more experience.
2016, an 7.8 earthquake hit ecuadorian coast and left 700 000 affected persons, me and 13 more people started doing Emergency Response using Permaculture strategies to support the recovery processes of the affected families and communities.
Same 2016, Arbol-Permacultura Juntos was born as a macro-project with pemaculture programs, looking for the re-genertion of resilience in vulnerable communities and CEPPA as our Permaculture Training Center, where all our communitarian projects are designed and implemented.
My dream, is the co-creation of a resilient local culture that moves towards a more sustainable global culture.
