Candela is originally from Granada in south Spain but has been living for 8 years in Denmark.
She studied Biology and a master degree in Nature Management. With a Master thesis focused on Forest gardens.

She is in the core group of FFIRN (The Food Forest International Research Network). She has being a member of the board of the Permaculture Denmark association for 5 years and she has been running a volunteer community urban forest garden in Copenhagen. Through the years she has participated in many permaculture projects. Specially forest garden projects that she had helped design in a collaborative manner.
Now she is back in Spain rocking the South East Spain Permaculture Network, as well as several other Ecosystem Restauration Projects . She is teaching and spreading permaculture there where she goes.
