Alex have studied agriculture at the university and specialized in Agroecology. After getting in touch with Permaculture in 2000, he fell in love by the landscape design and all Permaculture-related disciplines, studying them deeply and applying it at his own habitat, Sitio Gralha Azul. Nowadays Alex lives at Gralha Azul farm, and runs a Sustainability Consultancy business, focusing in developing sustainability strategies for the biggest Brazilian commodity markets (sugar cane, soybeans, cattle etc). Alex loves challenges, and decided to work on this to bring systems ecology concepts to "business as usual" companies. He believes that, if forward-thinking people like Permaculture people doesn't get in the conventional business landscape, they will keep "business as usual" forever!
