I'm currently a sign language interpreter for the deaf. I've been a cook, tree trimmer, bartender, driveway sealer, and several other things in my lifetime. I studied to enter the ministry, but things just didn't go the way I'd expected.
I was introduced to permaculture by a friend who attended the Permaculture Voices Conference in 2014, and fell in love with the concept of a design system based on ethics, and focused on sustainability and food. I started with Jack Spirko's Survival Podcast and quickly added Diego Footer's Permaculture Voices Podcast to my playlist. The things going on in this movement are phenomenal, and I couldn't wait to get started.
I just finished the PermaEthos founding PDC and would like get my feet wet in a backyard nursery and look for more design opportunities. Eventually, I'd like a full-scale permaculture farm, but in the meantime, I'd settle for getting as many suburbanites on-board as possible.
