After 10 years as a self-employed media designer, Christopher Henrichs discovered his new calling in the planning of equally regenerative and productive landscapes.

He completed the distance learning program at the "Permaculture Research Institute" as a certified permaculture designer and teacher. Permaculture remained a focus during his studies in Sustainable Agriculture at HSRW, and "Simple Local Solutions to Complex Global Challenges Based on Permaculture" became the topic of his senior thesis.

In order to effectively transfer the theories of this work into practice, Christopher Henrichs founded the non-profit association "Permakultur Niederrhein e.V." with partners and became its chairman. The association makes sustainable lifestyles, in particular the methods of regenerative agriculture, tangible for the public, and also allows this knowledge to flow into educational work in and out of school.

An exciting network of representatives from science, nature conservation, agriculture and forestry, as well as education and politics, now supports his projects.

Important goals for Christopher Henrichs are to bring permaculture out of its current "niche" through scientific recognition and to contribute to the necessary change towards a world fit for the next generation with concrete projects.
