I've always loved growing things and have had a particular love of the woods.

Four years ago, I ended up out in the middle of nowhere in farm country in a 100 year old farmhouse with an acre and a half of previously commercial farmland. The soil was poisoned and sterile. I stumbled upon Permaculture. I managed to grow a few things and raised a few chickens. I also allowed much of the land to just 'go natural'. It was so amazing to watch it progress from bare, naked dead soil the first year, to a field full of dandelions and prickly weeds the second year and in the third year clover arrived. I drew up a permaculture design for this property and had begun to implement the food forest area.

I have since moved on from that land and am currently searching for the perfect acreage to build my Permaculture dream.

I earned my PDC certificate through Geoff Lawton's online PDC course. I hope to design my own land soon. In the meantime, I blog about permaculture and I teach Permaculture topics. I hope to develop and teach a PDC soon.
