Integralpermanence is a specialist design and education outfit working globally to help individuals, groups and communities to optimise their impact in the environment
Working with the fundamental landscape characteristics and components, Integralpermanence leverages opportunities to create regenerative landscape designs. We involve all the decision makers and investigate resource bases to identify both the "bleeds" of the business and points of leverage in terms of production and developing local and direct client bases. Using the Keyline scale of permanence we are able to manage landscape master planning based on how individual land components function together as a whole. By doing so localised characteristics of the climate, slope, aspect are given thorough consideration and the energy flows, mineral and water cycles within the site can be enhanced.
We work closely with our clients to envision the quality of life they desire and work backwards from there to identify what needs to be produced or created for that vision to be sustained long into the future. We prefer to engage in only 1 or 2 projects at a time to ensure quality working standards. Our long term committment toprojects we work with is a response to what we consider ineffective consultancy simply laying out paper based design.
Integralpermanence focuses primarily on building healthy topsoil through primarily biological methods, although earthworking is sometimes necessary for drought proofing farms in these uncertain climatic variances. Healthy land management leads to large increases in soil Carbon, sequestering large amounts of atmospheric carbon whilst improving soil water holding capacity and diversifying the soil food web. Whether you run herds on pasture, alley crop orchard fruits with annual cultivations or wish to establish native woodland good land management requires the optimum placement of different elements in their rightful place in terms of the land components of any site. We connect elements in any design to perform multiple functions and connect functionally to ensure water, nutrient and energy flows are cycled within the farm and the only thing exported from the site in sunlight. We work with diverse and integrative strategies on new and existing enterprises Bio Construction, Agroforestry, Aquaculture, Orchards and Vineyards, Forest Gardens, Bio Intensive Horticulture, Appropriate Energy, Integrated Animal Systems, Soil Foodweb Technologies and Nutrient and water cycling. Our goals include sequestering carbon, and building resilience through the synthesis of Keyline design as an organizing strategy fro Permaculture and Holistic Management design frameworks to ensure a triple bottom line of Ecological regeneration, Economic profitability and wellbeing of decision makers.
Note: The various badges displayed in people profiles are largely honesty-based self-proclamations by the individuals themselves. There are reporting functions users can use if they know of blatant misrepresentation (for both people and projects). Legitimacy, competency and reputation for all people and projects can be evidenced and/or developed through their providing regular updates on permaculture work they’re involved in, before/after photographs, etc. A spirit of objective nurturing of both people and projects through knowledge/encouragement/inspiration/resource sharing is the aim of the Worldwide Permaculture Network.
MemberA member is a permaculturist who has never taken a PDC course. These cannot become PDC teachers. Members may be novice or highly experienced permaculturists or anywhere in between. Watch their updates for evaluation. |

Permaculture MatchmakerOne of these badges will show if you select your gender and the "I'm single, looking for a permaculture partner" option in your profile. |
|
PDCPeople who claim to have taken a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) course somewhere in the world. |
|
PDC VerifiedPeople who have entered an email address for the teacher of their PDC course, and have had their PDC status verified by that teacher. Watch their updates for evaluation. |
|
PRI PDCPeople who’ve taken a Permaculture Research Institute PDC somewhere in the world. |
|
PDC TeacherPeople who claim to teach some version of PDC somewhere in the world. |
|
PRI TeacherWith the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable. PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows. |
