Updates??
In the past 2 years There has been much more planting in the upper parts of the property, above the Pond. Bananas and other hardy fruit trees to begin and other dynamic accumulators to alley crop the terraces on the slopes of the land.
Many fruit trees, either inherited in 2009from land purchase , or planted shortly thereafter have begun to produce these years. The entire design and work is paying off in yields, resilience and diversity.
Since August 2019 The roof of the house is now two 320sqft(30sqmt) wicking beds for growing vegetables, herbs and small fruit trees. Very sucessful so far.
Many native medicinal herbs and even some mushrooms (reishi, turkey tail) have been discovered and encouraged in the past years and are thriving.
