[120 hours] The Permaculture Design Certification (PDC) course at Earthaven Ecovillage is a residential intensive. This course will provide a unique exploration of regenerative, nature-based design, grounded in the 22-year community-scale permaculture experiment and living demonstration site that is Earthaven.

Permaculture design principles train us to design any kind of system- land use, business, personal relationships or organizational endeavors- which mimic ecosystem dynamics and generate measurable ecological regeneration while taking care of people and empowering marginalized communities.

Through a combination of lecture, discussion, hands-on activities at Earthaven’s 330-acre site, visits to local permaculture examples, and a group design project, you will have the chance to integrate and apply the concepts of permaculture over 18 days. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Permaculture Design.
