Our current global and local crises are calling for a total transformation of how we relate to each other and the planet. We recognize that the ways we are living are unsustainable physically and spiritually. But how do we effect this transformation? Where do we start?
It is no coincidence that Quinta da Mizarela, the hub of the Awakened Life Project, is centred in wild nature. In the calm of Nature it is easier to drop our concerns, find the space to breathe and start to learn how to be free and consciously evolving human beings. As we re-awaken our connection to nature we re-awaken our connection to each other and ultimately ourselves.
Here at the Quinta, we are learning how to work with the land to co-create abundance for humans and wildlife and revive the degraded natural ecosystems. We are endeavouring to align ourselves with the power and mystery of nature and ask “What does the land want to produce?”
This internship is designed for anyone looking for how to live a transformative and sustainable life starting with themselves. It will be an opportunity to learn to slow down so that we can listen to our natural intuition and to deeply connect with Nature and each other whilst working on the land.
I will teach you the principles of permaculture, forest gardening and natural beekeeping and the learning can be tailored to your particular interests. We will spend time in the forest together and alone: walking, meditating and simply being.
There will also be time for you to follow your own interests – whether that is birdwatching, hiking through the mountains, reading from the library, dipping in the waterfalls or just sitting in the beauty of nature.
Living at the Awakened Life Project is an opportunity to experience being part of a community where we are convinced that we human beings have limitless potential for goodness, consciousness and co-creative evolution.
