How is Permaculture Revolutionary?

Posted by Valeria Saez VL about 11 years ago

Permaculture is a quiet, unstoppable and thoroughly effective form of revolution, and on the contrary to to most revolutions in the past, it is about living in harmony with nature and with your community.

I’m sure many people wonder, how is Permaculture a revolution? This is obvious and makes perfect sense as you find out more and more about it. Changing your lifestyle and your everyday habits, from shopping consciously to throwing your kitchen waste into a compost bin rather than a rubbish bin which will only accumulate to the lovely garbage mountains that grow taller by the month. It is so very simple, and getting to experience yourself how simple it is makes you wish that everyone else was doing it! Permaculture, like a good revolution, is designed. It has tactics and methods to do it better, and the ultimate outcome is change, in this case excellent change, progressive change. Self reliance is definitely a revolution.
