I made this year a beautiful mandala garden based in the shape of "Lauburu" (basque mandala) and my next step in spring is cover the mandala with a greenhouse, a geodesical dome of 8m diameter and V2 pattern. You could see pictures of mandala in my project profile. The material will be sticks of timber. And I need to make some test with the junctions. Two choices I have: Like you, with a piece of tube, or the other one, with bolt&nuts&platen. Your domes are beautiful, I hope my results could be succesful too. Regards, Victor

Łukasz Nowacki : Hi Victor, your Lauburu mandala garden looks great. The best thing about it is that it is rooted in your culture and tradition. You can almost feel the Force in it. Go for covering it with a dome, but I recommend using 3V geodesic structure because of larger diameter of the garden.

I felt ill after your answer and after that I've been very busy, sorry for my late response.

I have read about 2V is possible until 10meters of diameter, I want 8m so it's possible,and I prefer this because the struts will have about 2,47 meters, the common lengh of timber here. With a section of 45mm x 25mm. Without any load I think is enough strong. Other reason is V2 have less points to join and it seems to be more easier to build. I'll build sections in the ground and finaly joined them. I'll take a lot of pictures, so stay in touch and you could see the final result. If I have problems, the timber could be used in other project, it doesn't matter.

In the future I hope to build other domes with V3.
