A one day training was organized for the local NGO partner in the South Punjab Pakistan. We are implementing a long term project for the most vulnerable communities living in this area. The soil is pure sandy and community are growing only wheat crop and their per acre production is very less as compared with other areas.
In our project we have included several agricultural interventions which includes seasonal kitchen gardens seeds along with drip irrigation systems for better water management, fodder crops, introduction of Agro forestry trees, infrastructure schemes, Farmer extension services etc.
The main objective of this training was to conduc these interventions in Permaculture way to make them more sustainable so that these poor communities may live sustainably.
Mainly the topics which were covered were as following;
Introduction to Permaculture (PC)
History of PC
Ethics of PC
Principles of PC
PC compost
Some design techniques
Presentation from the participants of PC ethics, what they can share with earth and people
This was the basic training which will lead towards PDC course in comming future.
All the participants will be awarded with a certificate of Introduction to Permaculture by me.
