Experimental Polyculture

Posted by Deano Martin over 13 years ago

I am trying a hybrid of the Three Sisters Planting Guild, and the Bon fils Method of growing grains, and am looking for anybody else doing a similar experiment.

Hi All

I've just started a trial of a polyculture that combines elements of Bon Fils wheat growing, with vegetable growing, and edible fungi. I'm trying to find out if there is anybody else doing something similar, in order to compare notes, and exchange information.

If you are doing something similar, or know of someone else who is, please get in touch.

If you want to find out more about the experiment, the second part of a blog article that I wrote has the details. The link is below.

Polyculture Experiment

I look forward to hearing from you

Ute Bohnsack : Deano, I recently planted the Three Sisters and a whole bunch of other things in a Polytunnel that I had let a group of spare cockerels clear out. They had been fed straight organic wheat and I see now that they missed quite a bit! There is a load of wheat growing in amongst the other crops now - an accidental admixture. It'll be interesting...
