I've been working in the "energy" (oil & gas) industry since December 1982. Throughout the period of my career I have always sense that something was wrong with the whole scheme of things, and something inside me just doesn't feel right..
I recalled the time when I was growing up in a village. We (my family) bred chicken, grew fruit trees, cassava, many form of edible plants. But by age 16, the government relocated to apartment housing and we had to abandon everything we cultivated. In early 2012, I became interested in off-the-grid living after learning about Les Stroud of "Survivorman" reality TV series. Then I saw John D. Liu's "Green Gold", the Dervaes family, Jacouba Sawadogo, Geoff Lawton, Bill Mollison and many others. The term "Permaculture" kept popping up. These inspire me to embark on my permaculture journey and in January 2013 I've made a decision to be proper educated in permaculture. And in October 2013 I (along with my daughter) completed my PDC at Zaytuna Farm, PRI.
At the moment I'm seeking opportunities to work on permaculture project possibly in Asia region. My plan is to acquire land... I now have a responsibility to share what I know with anyone.
