I'm a medical doctor specialised in flu surveillance and (severe) pandemic preparedness. Please see http://www.resiliencemaps.org and contact me on twitter at @lucasgonzalez.
I'd like to facilitate rapid change (I tend to call it "emergency permaculture", but the name doesn't matter), either when it's needed (in a catastrophe) or simply when it's wished (joy in improvement). Go from "not much" to "ok" in as little time as possible, and then improve from there.
Of course, rapid change needs slow preparation: the pandemic documents linked above took me 8 years to write; I do know what patience means. So, could we join together things like all sorts of plant and animal information, climate analogues, polyculture pattern language, wikis like appropedia, agile software (as in wikispeed), and any other ingredients? Foster open content creation using platforms like patreon.com?
