I am a chemical engineer, working on Environmental issues. I worked for 8 years in GE, and quit to start working on my own in the field of Environment, Health and Safety.
I have undergone the course with an interest to develop urban forests which could help better the environment and also for working on various restitutional projects for the soil contaminated areas. As many of projects related to waste management, water conservation or air pollution issues could be addressed effectively when well-designed permaculture projects are implemented, I have undergone this course.
Initially, we worked with a team in understanding the principles of developing small gardens like square foot, soil conditioning, species selection, climate impact, zoning etc.. Now we are developing a full fledged urban fruit forest and also initiating work on large acerage farming.
