I received my PDC in 2012 and have been working in the Tacoma area on various projects ever since. Most recent efforts have been volunteering at the Tacoma Metro Parks 'Swan Creek Food Forest' monthly work parties. http://www.meetup.com/Tacoma-Permaculture-Meetup/events/155099322/ It's a great way to visit with other Permies and work on a worthwhile cause for the surrounding community.
Most of 2013, I worked for a 'Non-Profit Charity', Gateways for Youth and Families on 30 acres with 2 commercial size greenhouses growing various vegetables and raising chickens http://www.gatewaysforyouth.org/Trayn.html.
Since this past summer 2014 I have been working at McLendon's on Pearle as a Nursery Associate.
My profile picture shows myself, my husband, Evan in the corn and my brother Dante standing in front of the parking strip I sheet mulched into a planting strip at our home. Now 5 other neighbors are doing the same.
I am a Tacoma Community College graduate through the running start program via Stadium High School.
Currently a Junior at the UW Tacoma Majoring in Environmental Studies.
