My back ground is a degree in banking and Asian studies. I've run restaurants, been a tyre fitter, run an agricultural business, been a property manager, and run my own business as a handyman. I come to the conclusion that I can't work in an office and that i love to make stuff with my hands.

I live in the South West Of Western Australia with my wife and 4yr daughter. We are in the process of building a sustainable home on a 100 acres. Our aim is to become as self sufficient as possible producing most if not all our own food, power and fuel.

Our new home is a solar passive design, rammed earth and recycled timber. I'll be doing all the work on the place myself now that the earthworks and the concrete slab have been completed.

We are looking at putting in an orchard, veggy gardens, greenhouses and free range animals along a permaculture bent.
