I am a Wiradjuri women and my mob come from the Mudgee Lake Burrendong Region. I am descendant of Diana Mudgee and William John Williams (Tasmania Aboriginal man from Hobart). I am currently living at Badhiin Place, Bolton Point. Badhiin meaning Grandmother in Wiradjuri language. So I am a grandmother and what started me on this journey is my culture! We have a long belief in the caring of and for the land. I realised that when my first granddaughter was born, I was not leaving her anything of value! I wanted her memories to be of a Grandmother that taught her values for living! I started my journey by creating a garden which then led me to Permaculture and Geoff Lawton.
My husband I believe if we can make a sustainable existence here then we can in the future buy a farm and make it a place where our family can come and live a life of health and abundance. My goal is to hold classes to teach other people how to get their garden up and running using recycled products. These will include how to preserve, without freezing and instruction on raising healthy chickens, ducks, rabbits, fish for meat production and so reducing our carbon footprint.
