Hi, I grew up in Northland, NZ and did a degree in Geography before teaching English in Korea for 1 year and travelling in Mongolia, China, Nepal and India for another 6 months. During these travels I had multiple epiphanies and upon returning to NZ studied outdoor education in NZ, hoping to help expose kids to the immense enjoyment, learning and most importantly connection provided by being outdoors. However I found that I needed to account for my own presence on Earth before I could enjoy a lifestyle and hence found permaculture as a way initially to grow food, but then saw the whole interconnected potential. I did a PDC and am now hoping to spend the next few years traveling and developing my skills as a practitioner. I most want to learn about drylands design as this will be a major area of need in the next few years in the various regions of the world. I also hope to spend time documenting existing permaculture techniques used by traditional Korean farmers and hope to contribute to a functioning Korean permaculture scene.
