Founded in 2006 by Zeeshan and Karina Hayat, 100 Meals a Week began with the simple act of making sandwiches at home and personally delivering them to Vancouver’s homeless in the DTES from the trunk of their car. Confronted by the harsh realities of homelessness and addiction, they committed to consistent weekly support, expanding efforts to include meals, clothing, blankets, and sleeping bags. Their sustained kindness transformed lives and strengthened their resolve to bring about meaningful change.
