I grew up on a small hobby farm in the Midwest United States and have always had a small garden. Permaculture appealed to me because of our island food security issues and the emphasis on perennial plants and lazy growing methods :-) My activities are casual education through youth development work and Master Gardener programs; also growing my own and blogging. I like to try and integrate families and children into all the education and workshops I do.
