I first learned about permaculture principles as a child when my mother began looking for an easier way to garden. She came across Masanobu Fukuoka's One Straw Revolution, and never tilled again. As I was the tiller, I was most grateful!
Later I read Gaia's Garden, and finally bought and read Bill Mollison's Permaculture, a Designers Manual.
Now I live on a nine acre plot where I attempt to put the ideas into practice.
I work with a shoestring budget, so most of my projects are just in my head. I do have a blueberry patch, a fenced garden, a few terraces, and I hope to do more as I get resources and time!
