Born in Minnesota, grew up in Southern California, spent a decade in Seattle, and then traveled around the world for a few years; I'm looking to settle back down on some land and begin a food forest.
I consider my specialties in software, engineering (of all sorts and a DIY'er), and letting plants do their thing. I'm a decent cook as well.
After traveling to Ethiopia and living in New York for a few years, I took a permaculture course from Andrew Faust and got inspired to change many aspects of the way I live. New York has also inspired me toward greener spaces as well :)
I've been working with a local community garden in Brooklyn that sprung up called the Maple 3 community garden. I've been working with the community on phytoremediation, rainwater harvesting, mulching and composting.
Found a cheap source of Rapeseed (Brassica napus) for the Maple 3 community garden. I've asked the gardeners upon weeding to throw some B. napus seeds down in order to help remediate the 550ppm lead content of the soil.
