(projects i'm involved in)
From Melbourne, Australia, I have spent most of my life thus far either behind a computer working, playing, or studying. It is through computers I am able to play (writing software costs naught) with the power of patterns, recursion and efficiency. My interests lie primarily within the opensource space.
Permaculture came to me as a way to combine my interests in sharing knowledge, ethical living and a chance to apply problem solving skills in 'the real world' - a little bit more enchanting. After a few years of passive research, I made the jump and took a PDC - It was the best thing I've done for myself thus far.
I have a bit of residential land near the city that I intend to live with in the next year or so. It is of reactive clay and will provide plenty of challenges and interest on how it can be improved. This is where I will spend most of my efforts and hopefully have results and documentation over the next decade (-;
I am interested in gaining experience by from working on existing permaculture projects (particularly earthworks) and passing that knowledge on.
