I am an agronomist, I taught many disciplines (agro-ecology, topography, agriculture in general, etc.) at a state technical college during 8 years. I am now working in a not-for-profit organization called ACIENS, focusing on medicinal plants, education and sustainability.

I discovered permaculture in 2009 through a colleague's advice. I then searched more information on this topic over the Internet. In 2010, I did a 32-hour introductory course in the Bahia Permaculture Institute (IPB, http://www.permacultura-bahia.org.br/) in Brazil. I have been an instructor for a 40-hour permaculture class during the Young Gardener program developed by Itaipu Binacional. In 2012, I was capacitated as a permaculture practioner through a 10-day PDC in Santa Catarina, Brazil.

For now, I apply permaculture principles at home (vegetable garden). We are negotiating with local authorities the implementation of a permaculture pilot project in the urban area of Foz do Iguaçu.
