The British touring car championship was first launched in 2014 with the intention of introducing touring car racing on a global scale. The motor racing championship was a championship started for production-based touring cars in England. This year it was the 65th season of the British touring car championship and the twelfth season and twelfth season for cars conforming to the next generation touring cars (NGTC) technical specifications.
